Squash- So Easy, So Good

I love squash, my favorite recipe is to simply roast it in the oven with a little butter, cinnamon and maple syrup. When I want to use it in recipes I almost always choose frozen, defrosted squash. Frozen squash is pictured below in the ingredient picture, it is rich in fiber and vitamin A and has no salt added. Best of all I can take it out of the freezer, defrost it and use it almost immediately in recipes.

Here are two good ways you can use squash too. Creamy Squash Soup with Shredded Apples and Winter Squash Soufflé

All you need for the soup is the frozen squash, apples some spices and fat free evaporated milk. I even

add cooked chicken sausage with delicious results.

Winter Squash Soufflé makes a nice lunch meal or serve it for dinner with a crisp salad and crusty bread. You will need the ingredients pictured here.
